Ember House - Widdrington - Druridge Bay Beach

Lovely stay in a lovely house, and a great base to explore and enjoy the local area. Positive: Lovely 2-bedroom house in a very quiet residential street with no though-traffic. There's an allocated parking space a few metres from the front door, making unloading luggage very easy. It's dog friendly, including a fully enclosed back garden, which was a key reason we chose this property. It's a great base for access to all of the wonderful beaches, castles, towns, and other attractions in the area. There's a lovely pub (The Widrington Inn) a couple of miles away, that serves great food. There's a local co-op store for all the essentials, which is open until 10pm. And it's about 15 mins drive from Morpeth if you want more choice. Negative: There were one or two very minor glitches, like the bathroom door not closing fully and a broken curtain rail bracket, but these are extremely minor and did not impact a fantastic long weekend in any way at all.
