Orchard House, Alnwick

Small but comfy and well equipped for a short holiday Positive: Very clean house and really nice extras provided: butter, milk, eggs etc. which go a long way these days. Beds were comfy and kitchen was well-equipped. Main part of house was warm. Ample parking space. Nice TV. Negative: Overall it's a small house. There were 2 of us but even then the upstairs felt cramped. The conservatory is cold and smells of mould so not the best place to eat - would suggest putting a small dining table under the stairs. The counter with stools is really awkward to sit and eat at. The back door to the garden was unopenable. There is a wasp nest on the side of the porch so a few got in via the bedroom window. Locations is okay but people considering staying should consider that it's not the shortest walk into town.

Aussies on tour Positive: Good location, close to castle and supermarket Negative: No coffee table on the lounge so nowhere to put your coffee cups or snacks. Bed a bit small.
